This website is dedicated to the Citizen-Soldiers who for Generations interrupt their comforts and safety to still the tyrants of the World. These Soldiers, Sailors and Marines give up a life that is free of the fear of War. They travel to far lands and live in privation and horrid conditions, face the risk of combat and injury. Some will never make it home and they will forever be laid to rest in far off lands.

My Personal Belief is the Medals of these Serviceman who have sacrificed so much for our freedoms should be researched as to know all that is possible about them. Then we can Honor their memories and give the respect we owe, we become their voice to tell the story they no longer can.

I would like to address the Purple Heart and not being in the family any longer. Some times in families, there is no caretaker left to keep the medals and they have to go somewhere. Then in other cases there is no one person who has a interest or even knows the recipient, so there is not a connection. I have found Purple Hearts and Silver Stars from people who dug them out of the trash can and dumpster. So, get those medals out of the shoe box under the bed, in the closet or the chest of drawers; Research them, Honor them, Respect them and do not let the memories of those Valiant servicemen be forgotten to time.

                   Wartime Prayer
                             of
                  Eleanor Roosevelt

                       Dear Lord
                    Lest I continue
                 My complacent way
Help me to remember that somewhere
                 Somehow out there
A man died for me today
As long as there be war
                     I then must
                  Ask and answer
                Am I worth dying for?

Thank you taking the time to share the journey
of these Brave Americans and to help keep their
memories alive.

Here is to the land of the Long Leaf Pine
The Sunny Land where the Sun doth shine
Where the weak grow strong and the strong grow great
Here is to down home the Old North State
